Android Police - Senior Writer

Remote - Contracted

This position will operate on a remote, contractual basis. Candidates must reside in the U.S. or Canada, or in countries within a few hours of the EST time zone.

Android Police is looking for a Senior Features Writer who knows Android inside and out, and can write useful, and well-argued features that go beyond the headlines. We’re looking for someone who can bring fresh perspective, clarity, and depth to topics across the Android and mobile tech space.

Android Police covers all things Android, from phones and tablets to smartwatches, apps, and Google services. We focus on helping readers stay informed and make better tech decisions. Our features go beyond specs and announcements, we dig into trends, offer helpful guides, and deliver thoughtful takes that readers can’t find anywhere else.

Expectations:

  • Write sharp, well-researched feature content: explainers, opinion pieces, guides, comparisons, and more.

  • Pitch original ideas and follow through with clean, well-structured drafts.

  • Take feedback seriously and work collaboratively with editors.

  • Use our CMS and follow formatting and SEO guidelines.

  • Stay plugged into Android, Google, and the broader tech scene.

Skills We're Looking For:

  • 2+ years of experience writing Android tech content 

  • Strong grasp of Android, mobile hardware, and Google services

  • Clear, confident writing style with attention to detail

  • Able to work independently, meet deadlines, and take ownership of your work

  • Comfortable using a CMS and basic image tools
