As a worldwide leader in the digital media space, Valnet operates at a rapid pace and is seeking a highly organized, strategy-driven Social Media Specialist to join our team on a 1099 freelance basis

In this role, you will own, execute, and scale the daily social footprint for a dedicated selection of brands within our tech network. You will collaborate with other Social Coordinators to ensure strategic alignment and drive overall traffic and community growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, execute, and oversee the daily social media strategy across multiple platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Threads, X, BlueSky, TikTok, LinkedIn) for your assigned tech brand(s).
  • Schedule and manage daily content drops including breaking tech news, evergreen tutorials, product reviews, and recirculated top-performing posts.
  • Collaborate closely with the Editorial team and Social Coordinator to streamline workflows and adapt instantly to fast-breaking tech updates.
  • Write engaging, platform-tailored captions and copy that accurately leverage each brand's unique voice and style.
  • Utilize the TrueAnthem scheduling tool and Media Library system to efficiently tag, sort, and organize content assets.
  • Track and grow relevant performance metrics across all active social media channels.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing major social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Threads, X, BlueSky, TikTok).
  • Strong capability to look at the bigger picture, develop creative content hooks, and execute an overarching growth strategy.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to maintaining premium quality standards.
  • Ability to quickly learn new tools, analyze performance data, and adjust scheduling strategies as platform algorithms shift.
  • Comfortable working independently and leading initiatives in a collaborative, fast-paced remote environment.

Bonus Skills

  • Hands-on familiarity with digital publishing scheduling or analytics platforms (TrueAnthem, Meta Business Suite, etc.).
  • Basic graphic design using Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar tools.
