Are you an experienced tech writer with a knack for cutting through the noise and getting straight to what readers really need to know? Oh, and do you have a passion for smart home gadgets, streaming platforms, and connected entertainment?

XDA is seeking a Smart Home & Streaming Tech Writer to cover the latest devices, platforms, and trends in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

The XDA team is dedicated to staying ahead of the curve, continuously sourcing the latest in smart home and streaming news, sharing practical tips, tutorials, and guides, while reviewing devices, apps, and platforms.

Job Responsibilities

  • Contribute reliably and consistently (features, how-tos, buying guides, tutorials, and news) under tight deadlines.
  • Input work into our in-house CMS, as well as find and format images according to guidelines.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest smart home devices, streaming hardware, and platform updates.
  • Coordinate with the editorial team for assignments and feedback.

Applicants must have a self-starter attitude and possess the following:

  • Relevant experience in writing and editing in English.
  • Ability to think analytically and provide insightful guidance or critique of products, apps, and platforms.
  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with smart home devices, streaming platforms, and connected entertainment.
